In the third quarter of 2025, several communication apps on the Android platform demonstrated varying performance trends in Russia. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

OBDLink (OBD car diagnostics) saw a fluctuating download pattern, starting with 86 downloads at the beginning of the quarter and ending with 58 downloads. Its weekly active users showed a slight decline overall, from 394 to 358 by the end of September.

EzDubs: Translate Video Calls experienced a gradual increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 81 downloads in the week of September 22. However, there was no available data on active users or revenue.

Fun Random Video Chat - Mira maintained a robust download rate, with a notable peak of 1.1K downloads in the week of August 11. The app’s active users also increased from 4.5K to over 5.1K by the end of the quarter.

Rune - Play, Talk, Hang Out showed a strong performance in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 6.4K in mid-August. Its active user base grew significantly, starting at 21.7K and finishing at 102.5K by the end of September.
